Well, the entire folcloristic music group is called "Musikkapelle Gufidaun" (Musikkapelle = musicgroup, Gufidaun = the name of our village between the Alps on the page mkg.htm. This picture was made in Gufidaun.
Gufidaun (and all our country) was very poor in the past. The people were only "farmers" with at the most three cows and some chickens and pigs. Most of the people, living between the mountains in the winter, passed the time by playing some instrument at home. Someone back around 1886 created our "Musikkapelle" for all events in the village, from church festivals to town parties, like our Musikfest on page mkfest.htm. And it’s still so, like more than 100 years ago - everyone is playing and working in the group on a voluntary basis, just for our fun and for all who like to listen our music.
Much of clothing we’re wearing is the original from the people in Gufidaun in the past. The trousers (in stagleather) and the belts of some of us have aged really 100 years and more. All the other clothes are with the original design and remade in our time.
