Gufidaun is a beautiful small village with a population of only 450 situated in South Tyrol - Südtirol - in the Dolomite region of northeastern Italy. Before the First World War, Tyrol was one region in Austria. In the present time, North and East Tyrol remain a part of Austria while South Tyrol - Südtirol - is now a part of Italy. Autumn is the time for "Törggelen" in Gufidaun, a special culinary tradition in South Tyrol. One can take a walk through vineyards and eat special meals prepared by farmers.
The beautiful cultural cities and towns of Bressanone - Brixen and Chiusa - Klausen are not far from Gufidaun (10 km, 3 km)
The ski resorts and areas of Val Gardena, Alpi Siusi, Plose, Racines, Alta Badia are nearby.
It's easy to reach Gufidaun via Highway A22, exit Chiusa - Klausen - Val Gardena or by railwaystations in Chiusa-Klausen and Bressanone-Brixen
