The right time for mountain rescue:

|
Based on survival probability it is possible to set two time limits for the extrication of avalanche victims. While uninjured group members should try to rescue buried victims within 15 minutes by any means, since within this time period almost all victims without fatal injuries can be saved, the goal for organized rescue is about 90 minutes, in order to save those victims who have closed air pockets.
